World Squash Day report from the Helwan University Club in Cairo:
It is our honour at Modon for Facilities Management & Sports Investments to collaborate with Helwan University Club in celebrating World Squash Day, under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the prestigious Helwan University and Chairman of the University Club.
The celebration was also held in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Raef, Board Member and CEO of Modon, with the support and participation of Eng. Amna Al-Trabelsi, President of the Egyptian Squash Federation, Ms. Sara El-Naamani, Federation Board Member, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Farouk, Executive Director of the Club.

Helwan University stands out—not only among Egyptian universities, but perhaps globally—as a pioneer in celebrating this international sporting event. The university has demonstrated a deep and ongoing commitment to squash, working actively to expand its reach across all age groups. It welcomes university faculty, students, club members, and even squash enthusiasts from outside the university to participate in the club’s growing squash activities.
The event brought together Helwan University students and members of the squash academy in a joyful and energetic atmosphere—one that encouraged wider participation in the sport and inspired all attendees to engage more with squash.
Modon’s team played a key role in organizing the event, led by Major General Mohamed Zamzam, Director of Marketing, alongside company managers and dedicated staff.
We look forward to an even bigger celebration of World Squash Day 2026.
